With this free evaluation tool, you’ll find opportunities to celebrate and increase your sustainability education delivery. Developed through a grant with Arizona State University, it can be used to assess courses, programs, or activities.
EOP has demonstrated that sustainability can be integrated into engineering education through a practical, discipline-based framework that is already being implemented at colleges and universities nationwide. Now, we’re exploring an exciting opportunity to extend that impact even further: working with textbook authors and publishers to embed systems thinking, sustainability, and human-centered design into the core resources used by engineering students.

Join EOP as faculty from Arizona State University, Kennesaw State University, and Villanova University showcase their success in integrating the EOP Framework on campus. As participants in the CREATESS (Collaborative Research in Engineering with Action Toward Environmental and Social Sustainability) grant for the past two years, they will also share their associated classroom research and evaluation. Faculty presenters from various engineering disciplines and career stages represent large, small, public, and private institutions.

EOP is going to AASHE! Cindy Anderson, EOP Co-founder and Strategy Consultant, will be sharing EOP’s newest teaching guide, Vetted Teaching Activities for a Thriving Future in a Changing Climate. She will also join a panel discussion with EOP Network member and ABET CEO Michael Milligan, Sulitest’s Scott Blair, and Cristiano Reis, who is an ASEE EOP-MGP (Mini-Grant Program) awardee and assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at Howard University. In another session, EOP-MGP awardee Jenny Mueller will present EOP and Sustainability Competencies.

Cindy Anderson was honored to be an invited keynote panelist at the American Chemical Society‘s 30th Annual Green Chemistry and Engineering Conference (GC&E), in partnership with the International Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry (ICGSC), in San Antonio, Texas, on June 18, 2026.
She was part of an interactive panel and audience discussion on Driving the Green Transition: Workforce, Policy, and Action, moderated by David A. Laviska (ACS Green Chemistry Institute), with Megan Arnett (The Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry), Jarod Davis (Dow), and Joel Tickner (Change Chemistry). Cindy was also able to reconnect with EOP Framework contributor and EOP Network member John Warner, widely recognized as the father of Green Chemistry.
Sustainability education was everywhere at the 2026 ASEE Annual Conference! There was great representation from EOP with dozens of faculty sharing their approaches and research on integrating sustainability topics across engineering education.
