EOP and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

As part of a commemoration of this year’s World Engineering Day, EOP conducted a month-long social media campaign to show how engineers are uniquely equipped to help achieve the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

From addressing poverty, hunger, and health to improving infrastructure, sustainable cities, and climate action, engineers are intricately woven into the fabric of the UN’s goals and directives.

EOP’s own Framework learning outcomes are also tied to the SDGs, and so our campaign examined each of the 17 SDGs and how engineering offers a powerful approach to solving them.

We’ve compiled these messages into a useful brochure to help spread EOP’s message for future World Engineering Days and related sustainability campaigns.
