The EOP Community

About EOP The EOP Community

The Engineering for One Planet initiative unites a community and provides catalytic resources to create systemic change, and to strengthen and accelerate efforts to integrate sustainability into the engineering profession through education.

Tools for Change

The EOP Framework is a practical tool to embed sustainability into engineering courses and programs across all engineering disciplines, co-created by a community of hundreds of experts from a range of identities, lived experiences, geographies, and sectors including academia, industry, nonprofit, government, and philanthropic sectors.

The Framework provides a curated and vetted list of core and advanced sustainability-focused student learning outcomes that all engineering students should acquire.

With a flexible menu of ABET-aligned learning outcomes, it is designed to be adaptable and adoptable across diverse educational settings and disciplines.

Network Collaboration

The EOP initiative represents the work of hundreds of collaborators from academia, industry, philanthropy, government and nonprofits, and aligns with the engineering accreditation body ABET and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The EOP Network brings these stakeholders together to identify and enable opportunities for collaborative action to help accelerate educational and institutional transformation.
