
The National Science Foundation (NSF) and The Lemelson Foundation announced their first joint research and design awards to integrate social and environmental sustainability into engineering education.
Five initial projects will be funded through NSF’s Research in the Formation of Engineers program to support the research, design, and development of projects that align with Engineering for One Planet’s (EOP) work to transform engineering curricula.
The recipients are:
- Arizona State University, in collaboration with Kennesaw State and Villanova University
- Harvey Mudd College
- North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University
- Rochester Institute of Technology
- University of Arizona and the University of Michigan
