Funding Opportunity – Launch of ASEE’s 2023 Mini-Grant Program

The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is inviting applications for its 2023 Mini-Grant Program supporting higher education faculty to enact curricular change aimed at infusing sustainability in engineering.

This funding opportunity is made available through The Lemelson Foundation’s signature Engineering for One Planet (EOP) Initiative. EOP has developed a Framework to equip engineers with skills, knowledge and understanding to protect the planet and the life it sustains.

The MGP’s ultimate goal is to incentivize faculty to take on and follow through on curricular change initiatives informed by the EOP Framework and aimed at infusing sustainability in programming by supporting faculty teams with a Community of Practice, mentoring and mini-grant funding. The bulk of activity will take place Summer 2023 for course modifications in Fall 2023.

Click here for the MGP application. The deadline for submitting this application is Friday, February 3, 2023.

For more information, consider registering for the EOP Online Symposium — which will take place Wednesday, January 25, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET — to learn about the projects from the inaugural cohort of this program. You can register for the Online Symposium here.
